Movie Updates

Well it has been a very long time since I have posted anything so lets get down to business. Harry Potter: I tend to agree with Fitz on this one. It was a fantastic adaptation of the book. What liked most was that the overall feeling that you get reading the book is intact in the movie. Now for some fans this movie will be a little hard to stomach. It is considerably different, but if you take the time to read the book you will see that the book is a lot different from the others. The director did a great job in showing the growth of the characters. This movie however is not one you should take your young ones to. There are a lot of scary parts that may frighten younger children. I recommend this movie to anyone looking for a fun, fantasy, adventure. Spider Man 2: Well this movie had a lot of hype around it because of the success of the first one. Sitting in the theatre you can feel the excitement of parents and kids alike. However I think you will find a little less buzz when you leave the theatre. This was a good movie if you discount that it is a spiderman movie. There were a lot of good things in this movie, the humor was good, and Spiderman's struggle to deal with his double life was amazing to see. However, the movie was a constant shuffle between several plot lines and it tended to leave me a little rattled. The shift between drama, action, and romance was dizzying. Overall  the movie was decent and I was glad that I saw it, but as spiderman movies go, I was a little disappointed. Saved!: Now this is a movie that a lot of people haven't heard of. This is an independent movie staring Mandy Moore and Macaulay Culkin and Jena Malone. This hilarious movie was directed by Brian Dannelly. I took a good friend of mine with me to see this movie and she was rollin the entire time. The premise of the movie is a teen girl gets pregnant and finds herself shunned by her once true sudo-Christian friends. Through the ordeal she learns what it truly means to be a good Christian and about the world outside her sheltered, Christian high school. This is one fantastic movie! Whether you are a Christian or not, you will have a great time. I Robot: Wow. Color me surprised. This is one that I wasn't that enthusiastic about. I went in with mixed feelings and came out with a smile on my face. Will Smith was fantastic and the film did a great job of mixing action with philosophy. This is one I would recommend to everyone.  Well that's about it for now, but I will keep you updated on the newest movies. Signing off!
